Hi All,
Any help on this would be appreciated.
I would like to know how to go about finding the death of James Ernest
GRIMISON born 17 Dec 1891 at Schuyler, colfax, Nebraska and may have
returned to Toulon, France sometime after the end of the second world war.
I base this on a news paper article that was published in the Lincoln
Sunday Journal and Star on the 11th August 1940.
I suspect that he may be buried in the HAYEM plot at Paris, France along
with his wife how does one confirm this without travelling around the world.
One would expect James Ernest GRIMISON to have died about 1971 as he
would have been 80 years old or 1981 as he would have been 90 years old
one would not expect him to lived beyond this age based on the average
life range for males.
Thanks in Advance for your time and effort.
David.

Sorry Mike you are not telling me anything new, as I thought I had made
it clear I was only interested in post 11 August 1940 but since I appear
not to have I will endeavour to do so now.
I know of all his visits pre 11 August 1940 these are established facts
hence the reason I stated that he "may have returned to Toulon, France
sometime after the end of the second world war."
I will add that the reason I suspect that he returned to Toulon, France
is that he may have returned to France to try to pick up his business.
I also suspect that he may be buried with his deceased wife who came
from Paris.
She was buried sometime after 4th February 1920 ( the day she died in
Lincoln, Nebraska ) and she is buried in the HAYEM family plot.
These facts I have established via what has been written in the Lincoln
area News Papers of the day.
I hope this has made the situation clear.
Thanks for your effort even though it was a waste of time.

Re: Toulon, France Records
The French vital records are restricted in the time period you are
interested in. I expect there are requirements (proof of kinship, etc.)
that have to be met before you can obtain a death record. See this link for
more (in French) for obtaining an "acte d'etat civile".

Hi Bob,
Thank you for that information.
Looks as if I will have to pass this on the Dan Pritchard who in turn
may pass it on to a closer relation of the man I am trying to trace.
Regards,
David
