Bob,

Is that her married name? What was her husband's name? What was her maiden
name?

Any other details? I'll see what I can find.

Roach was the married name, husbands name was Melvin (deceased), her maiden
name was Watkins. The place of death could have been Rockhill, SC. This
is all the information I can get right now.

I guess you were taking a "shot in the dark." Here is an obituary from

Rockhill, SC but it does not appear to be who you are looking for:

State, The (Columbia, SC) - March 15, 1999
Deceased Name: Betty Roach
ROCK HILL - Graveside services for Betty Elizabeth Roach, 72, of 836 Midvale
Ave., will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Grandview Memorial Park. Visitation

Mrs. Roach, widow of E.J. Roach, died Saturday. Born in York County, she was
a daughter of the late Reece Workman and Irene Ferrell Workman. She was a
member of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her sons, Bobby Roach, Kenny Roach, both of Rock Hill;
daughters, Cathy Hollis of York, Vickie Collins of Fort Mill; three
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Your right Mike, it was a shot in the dark on that city. I really don't
have much to go on except what I first posted. Maybe someday...............
It took me 7 years to chase down my grandfather/mother, but I finally did.
