I used to be able to right click on the magnified ship manifest and save it
to disk or print it out. Lately, this ability has been disabled.
Is anyone else having that problem and does anyone know how to get around
it?

When I saw this post originally I copied the bookmark, not really
anticipating that I'd need it. I use Ellis Island rarely, mainly for my
kids' father's side of the family; my side all emigrated prior to 1881...or
so I thought.
Yesterday, just for fun, I plugged in the surname of one of my Danish step-
ancestors (my great-grandmother's second husband Thomas Mikkelsen) and
wonder of wonders, up popped the two of them in 1914, returning from a
visit to Copenhagen. Being able to save a copy of the manifest was very
handy.
Not only did I find out about a previously unknown trip they took to the
old country, the manifest also gave Thomas' date and place of
naturalization (1892, Cook County), thus establishing him in Chicago during
a decade when we'd otherwise been unable to figure out where he was.
For me, the lesson is to reconsider using all resources available, even if
they're not in the timeframe you think is right for your ancestors. It
worked for me!
