Dont know if this is allowed or not, but my best friends are celebrating
their 50th anniversary soon. He was in the navy and lost track of his best
man.

They were in the Navy together, and he went back to WA state after this
stint of the navy.

Is this allowed? If not please forgive me.

thanks
Jean

You're allowed to ask but if anyone does find this person, his personal info
should not be posted to this newgroup and should be sent to you privately.
If you send me his name and info, I can do some checking for you.

Does he know where the guy wnet ot high school? He could contact the
reunion coordinator and see if they have a current address for him.

If you want advice on where to try, here are some places that I would look:

http://www.zabasearch.com
http://www.classmates.com
http://www.intelius.com
http://www.peoplefinders.com
http://www.ancestry.com

Hope that helps,

Alida

Dead people are much easier to find, usually, than live ones. I guess
the first thing is to rule that out - enter his name in the Social
Security Death Index search page (google "SSDI ancestry" to find it).
If he's not in there, he's probably not dead. So then try his full name
in google with quotes around it. Try it in Switchboard.com. Probably
others, but start there.
