I am looking for information on my 5th Great-grandfather Enoch Ferrell. He
was born in 1752 in N.C. Married Martha ??? his Parents emirgrated to
America in the early 1700's from Ulster, Ireland and they were Scotch
Presbyterians. This is all I know about his Parents.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't have Enoch Ferrell in my family line. My earliest Ferrell starts
with
William FERRELL, born: 1740, Longford County, Ireland, died: Jun 15, 1778,
New Garden, Russell County, Virginia, he married Martha "Mattie" THOMPSON
Does that look familiar?

To be honest I am not to sure. That William FERRELL ain't old enough to be
Enoch FERRELL's father, he would have been 12 years old when Enoch was
born. The area where he died is close to where Enoch was born though. So it
could be a lead of some sorts, worth keeping around at least as a could be
tie in.
Thanks,
Eric

William could well be an older cousin, brother, or uncle to Enoch, that's as
far back as my records go though. My third great grandfather was Moses
Ferrell who married Matilda Brewer. I have a picture of them if you're
interested in seeing them.

I found an entry at http://www.familysearch.com that has an Enoch Ferrell born 1752
married to Martha ?? who has a son listed as John Ferril ( a misspelling
probably) born circa 1786, died circa 1855.
There is another listing for an Enoch Ferrell with a wife named Martha whose
give DOB is 1760, and they have children by the names of William, Enoch,
and Charles listed. These are also in North Carolina.
Perhaps someone can find the 1790 Census for this family.
