help!

My husbands grandmother Iris Gwendoline Ashard b.1919 - had two sisters
Evelyn and Elsie. I believe they were from Kentish Town and since I have
managed to find Iris on the birth indexes have discovered she was registered
in the Pancras district. However I have not managed to find her sisters. I
did discover that Iris's mother's maiden name was Barrett - but again can
find no record of a marriage between an Ashard and a Barrett in that area.
To complicate things further Iris' mother died when she was a very young
child and her father re-married very soon after. Iris died earlier this year
and so I was not able to speak with her on these matters. There was a
suggestion that her mother may have been called Jenny - but we're not sure
if the stepmother was Jenny or the real mother.

I wonder if anyone can help - maybe point me in the right direction - or may
even be researching this family already!

Thanks in Advance
Jo

This is London. Try Asher and Hatchard/Hatcher.
