Sherry,
Sorry, my post was obviously unclear!
What I'm looking for are very old photos, say 75-100 years old. You know,
the classic "ancestor" photos you see of often grim-looking people in front
of an old farmhouse.

I'm not looking for recent family photos - like you
said, I already have some of those. I'm trying to create a sample that shows
how useful it would be to be able to add labeled markers to your old photos
in order to remember who's who in ancestor pics. I thought the best place to
find such samples would be in a genealogy forum.
When I said I was going to delete an account, I just meant the scratch yahoo
account I created for this query. The photos will remain on the software
product's website. The owner retains full ownership of the photo, and can
ask me to remove them at any time.
I guess I'm a little too paranoid about spammers, because they bother me so
much. So I didn't want to name the product for fear of this post sounding
like it was a cheap way to advertise my website. Hence the temporary yahoo
account for initial contact.
I've sent you an email from my permanent email account, with details about
the website, as I will to anyone who wants more info. Although in
retrospect, I suspect this isn't the best way to get sample ancestor photos

Thanks,
John

Don't you have any of your own photos? Certainly you can come up with
20 pictures of your own family that you can use? Since this is
something in development, you could use pictures of locations or pets
even. Why not a pic of the monkey cage at the zoo and use pointers to
the different monkeys there?
Your message makes no sense - you want photos of ancestors to build a
website but will delete everything once it's done?
I'd be hesitant to give any of my family photos to someone developing a
software program without some sort of protection for my own photos. Is
there a contract involved for those who want to "loan" you the photos?
Do they retain ownership or do you take ownership of the picture once
they've sent it to you? Why would we trust our family photos with
someone who only uses a temporary email address for contact? We don't
even know who you are!
Sorry, I certainly wouldn't send anything to you!
Sherry
