Chicago Gillette Kin - Cottage Grove area 1930s, 40s, 50s

We are looking for living cousins in/from Chicago and grasping at any
straw.

My uncle, James Gillette, lived at 4513 Forestville, died 1959; his
wife, Martha Gillette, predeceased him. We are searching for their four
grandchildren.

His son, James Jr. lived on E. 46th Street, died 1974. We have recently
learned that James, Jr. was "in and out of mental institutions." Jr.'s
widow, Wilma, died 1992; no children.

My uncle had a daughter, Mildred Gillette, who we know had four
children. We don't know her children's surname, nor where she lived. We
are guessing that Mildred's age would be early to mid-80s, if she is
still living, which we don't know.

Both residence addresses are in the general area of Cottage Grove where
the funeral home from which my cousin was buried was located.

The family attended Ebenezer Baptist Church which is still located in
the same general area.

What schools would Mildred and James have attended from Forestville St.
in the 1930s, 40s? Also, my uncle James ran a coal business and maybe a
small store.
