Address from 1913

Does anyone know if there is a city directory or some such thing that
would contain the names of people that lived at a certain address in
Chicago, Illinois in 1913?

I'm trying to find out the name of the person who lived at
5801 Aberdeen Street, Chicago IL.

My great grandmother immigrated to the US and according to the ships
manifest she was joining a friend at the above address. I know she
worked for a family named "Greenbaum" and they owned a bank.

I don't know about Chicago, but all of Detroit's City Directories are
archived at the Detroit Public Library. The archive is handled by a group
called, "The Burton Historical Collection". Perhaps their is an
equivalent collection for the Chicago City Directories at the Chicago Public
Library.

Our city directories are located at our public library as well.

I don't recall addresses being listed, but the surnames were listed in
alphabetical order.

The address was provided following the name is what I am trying to say.

Someone could look up the Greenbaum's in the Chicago city directory for
that year to see where they lived. Or the 1910 and 1920 census could be
checked to see who lived at the Aberdeen address in those two census years.
Being a life long Chicagoan (thus far), I don't think that bankers would be
living at 58th and Aberdeen in 1913. More likely it would be a Michigan,
Prairie or Indiana Avenue address, along with the Fields, Palmers, etc..
