Ancestry has a database of Kentucky marriages 1851-1900. I don't know how
complete it is. What names are you looking for? Someone with an Ancestry
subscription can check the database for you.

Hi - When looking for such a thing in the US, always take a look at:
http://www.usgenweb.org/states/index.shtml

I found this, but without a name I don't know if it will help.

Start by spelling the city name correctly: Louisville. The county name is
Jefferson. Louisville is the county seat.

On-line marriage databases start with 1973, so that is of no help. You're
probably going to have to write the county and pay a search fee.

IF you had read the previous posts you would have seen, they had been

corrected, and a lot nicer than you did. Kindness is NOT hard to do..just
different.

And if you knew how newsgroups worked, you would know that messages do not
propagate to all sites at the same speed and certainly not in the same order.

And you are obviously so slow that it took you awhile to read my short note.
I got my first computer in 1983. Ran a BBS from 1989 to 1998 with several
different news groups, so before you yap at me for telling someone to be
KINDER in how they answer someone, make sure you know your facts.

It's not that I'm slow. It's that I have a life and only check USENET once a
week. Regardless, you may only have gotten your first computer in 1983, but I
was already years ahead of you, having had programming jobs in the 1970's. For
someone who claims 20+ years of experience with computing, you certainly
haven't learned much. The first stirrings of newsgroups that we have today
occurred in 1985 on the "Merit Network" (mainly a Michigan educational network)
when several multi-user (as in 200+ simultaneous) mainframe systems at about 9
universities first linked their previously independent "forums" together.
BBS's, mainly "Fidonet" and "WWIvnet", followed in the late 80's.

DOESN'T change the fact that your attitude sucks big time. YOU do NOT have

to be rude which means I HAVE LEARNED a hell of a lot more than you.

Rudeness is your opinion. I don't see that what I said was rude in any sort of
manner, unless you consider correcting someone else's mistake rude.
