Hello all. I would very much like to have the 1770 Census Image, if such
exists, for the family of William Lawson of North Carolina. WIlliam was
born in Montrose, Scotland in 1731 and brought to North Carolina as an
indebtured servant after fighting against the British in the Battle of
Culloden. He was just 15 years old at the time of the battle. He is said
to have escaped his indebture after only one year or so, and married Rebecca
Jane Lawson (nee Banks) Possible children in the 1770 Census is William
Lawson Jr., Travis Lawson, Betsy Ann Lawson, Sally Lawson, and Catherine
Lawson.

Also, I would like the 1780 Census for this same family, but by that time
they may have moved to Virginia, possibly the Snowflake, Virginia area.
Additional Children by 1880 may include Jerimiah Lawson, and Robert Lawson.

While in North Carolina, the possibility exists that the family may have
been living with Rebecca's parents. George and Judith Banks (nee Walker)

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

The First Census is 1790 but you might be able to find colony records.
