NJ Marriage look up

Legg inn av ALIDA SPRY » 22 mar 2005 23:32:13

Does anyone have access to marriages in NJ for the 1950's? I'm helping a
friend and her grandmother has early Alzheimer's so she can't remember what
year or what county she got married in and they want to get a copy of her
marriage license/ certificate but don't know where to request it.

They're guessing it's between 1950 and 1955 because the first child was born
in 1956.

The names are: Harriet Arlene Tillett DOB 7 April 1925
Emil Henry Meyer Jr. DOB 17 October 1926 DOD 26
February 1998

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

That would be too recent for any census research. You'd have to ask for
clues such as did she move around a lot. Maybe your friend knows this
already. I only see a Hattie Tillet born in Virginia (Drewryville,
Southampton, VA), parents Stephen and Alice ... Hattie was 5. None listed
in NJ. Good luck.

Alida: Only available thru State Dept of Health. Info on their
website. Have grandma sign the request since it is for herself.
