Hi, I hope that someone is able to help us.

We are looking for more information about the parents of Ake Sanberg.

He was born on September 8th 1770 in Kristianstad, Sweden. This, in fact is
the only thing we know from this man until he went to the Netherlands around
1800. He married on June 3rd 1804 to Jannetje van der Meye (born September
16th1773 in Zandvoort and died on May 2nd 1853). Ake Sanberg died on
November 18th in Amsterdam.

We can imagine that no one will be able to give us the information we want
to get but perhaps someone will be able to tell me if and how they
registrated the inhabitants of Kristianstad at that time.

Thank you in advance,

Linda

Linda,

I took a look at what records that Genline has available for Kristianstad
(Lan), and find that there are 156 parishes, with records going back to the
middle 1600's.

Do you have any idea of which parish Ake was from?

If so, I would be pleased to take a look for his birth (fodde) record.

Kristianstad is also a parish of its own. I did a search in the birth book
for 1770 in the Stadsförsamling (the town itself), but there were no Åke
born 1770-09-08.
There is also a garrison parish, but no birth books for 1770.

Hi, all

We don't have any further information so we are looking for a needle in a
haystack.
In the Dutch records is stated that he was born by Kristianstad so we are
not even sure that he came from Kristianstad itself . It is also possible
that he lived nearby Kristianstad.
I found out today that he came to the Netherlands as a gardener of the
Swedish consul.
