I've been searching for websites that offer a list of old
fashioned/historic, deep south names for females. We had two Dalmatians
named Bo Diddly and Miss Beulah. They both died last year and we are just
now getting a couple more dogs...two female chocolate labs. I'm looking for
old names of the deep south. I'm sure there are sites out there but I'm
obviously not plugging in the right key words. Any help would be
appreciated.

You might browse southern censuses for 1850 and pick up some names.

lived in Texas 76 years and believe me, this is the norm, not the exception.
