ancestry.com or me?

Legg inn av nutty » 13 mar 2005 15:48:43

Hi,

Is Ancestry. com having problems the last few days or is it me? I can get
in but then it crawls and then stops when trying to look up someone. I am
losing precious time and wondered if I need to call them or if it is a
general problem for which they are already aware.
Thanks ... Nutty

Ah, now I'm not so sure what is going on. Maybe I'll hold off calling them
for a while.

Yes, Ancestry.com has been slow for me too, especially yesterday.

Which browser do you use? I find that in general, IE works better than
say, Netscape when browsing the censeses. A person can use the
"Advanced Viewer".

You may need to empty your cache. Partial procedure: Start > Settings
Control Panel > Internet Options. Then in the center where it says
Temporary Internet Files, click on Delete files and Delete cookies.

I have been using Ancestry.com a lot in the past several days. I
haven't experienced the problem you have, however.

Also, if you have had your computer on a very long time, turn it off and
wait a few seconds and start again (or restart it).

Hope this helps.

It's either a coincidence or cleaning out the cache did the trick. Thanks
so much. I tend to forget to do that task ... it builds up quickly while
surfing all these census images. Again, thanks.

It happens to me too.

I DO, however, think that tonight Ancestry seems slow.
