FORTUNE, Charity

I am in need of the names and/or other info having to do with the parents of
a Charity Fortune. The data that was given me has her b. 1840 in Alabama,
d. 1900-1901 in Florida. She was married to an Asa Faulk who originally
came from North Carolina through Alabama to Santa Rosa county, Florida.

I did some searching on this today without any luck. I couldn't find a
Charity Fortune that would fit. If she really was a Fortune she is surely
related to a Richard Fortune who was in Santa Rosa Co, FL. His son Marmaduke
Fortune married a Sarah Faulk around 1880. Sarah Faulk is apparently a niece
of Asa Faulk. The Fortunes and the Faulks both went to FL from Pike Co, AL.

I found Asa and Charity in 1880 and 1900 in Santa Rosa Co, but I couldn't
find them in 1870. Asa is there in 1860 so either they were missed in the
1870 census or the online index is incorrect. According to the 1900 census
Asa and Charity were married ca 1864. If it was in Santa Rosa Co the early
mariages seem to be missing. The records start in 1869.
