Wicks surname - my shot in the dark
I've been scanning OLD pictures and my heart just kinda breaks a bit
because I don't know who most of them are. Right now I think I'm
scanning Willard Grant Wicks, 1854 - 1900, and Ella S. Wicks. If there
are any intrigued Wicks descendants out there I wonder if we might be
connected.
My grandmother was Marie Arlene Wicks, 1888 Minn. to 1918 ND. My great
grandparents were Willard Grant, born NY died ND, and Ella S., no info.
My great great grandparents were James Sanford Wick, "from New York",
and Martha Barrett, "from New York".
I will admit to not having had the time, as yet, to go to the library
and hit Ancestry Com for awhile, or spend some time on the LDS site, or
any of the other searchable places. All are on the to-do list.
But this is quick, and I'm in the mode and mind set, with my genealogy
software going on my Mac beside me, and I figure one never knows. If you
don't take a shot, you're never going to get a hit. But if you take a
shot, you might get lucky. And I have, in the past on a couple of lines,
gotten lucky. So here I am.
On the butter up to the regulars here, I've been reading here for 2 or 3
years and have learned things on more than a couple occasions. So I do
appreciate the energy here.
So, any Wicks out there? Grin Doug

Sorry, no Wicks in my family. But have you tried posting the pic(s) on

I would be very interested if you think they might connect to any of
the Wicks in my original post. That info if just about all I have except
that my grandmother, Marie, had 2 sisters, Helen, who married Harry
Gerunis, and Elsie Angeline. She also had 1 brother, name unknown. Maybe
more. Willard Grant Wicks was a pharmecist in Minnesota and married Ella
S. maiden name unknown.

That is the only info I have, he was a pharmacist, and
