Anna Elisabeth Doemer

Hello all... I'm not sure if you can help me with this one, but I'm
looking for Anna Elisabeth Doemer who was born in Westphalia in 1849 and
died somewhere around 1920 in Detroit, Michigan. The problem is that I have
no clue to what her married name may have been. Indeed, I am only assuming
that she married because she drops out off of the Census between 1870 and
1880. In previous census reports, she went by the name of either Elise, or
Elisabeth. Is there some strategy for finding married names that you have
found successful?

Thanks in advance.

One option would be that you could order the index of marriages for that
area and look up her name. I know in my area they list both the bride's and
groom's names alphabetically. I ordered the index through the Family
History Center. Good luck.
