Crow(e) Naturalisation & Immigration sources

Legg inn av Michelle » 03 mar 2005 01:16:14

I am trying to help out a fellow Crowe researcher, who is trying to find out
more about his family. Their names are Austin and Bridget Crow(e).

Is there someone on here that can access either of the following
information? These notes were kindly given to me by Tara....who has been a
great source of help to me.

Many thanks in advance.

In regards to this same family, I've been trying to find info in the local
newspaper, The Portsmouth Times (Scioto Co., Ohio). Ancestry's index of this
newspaper is completely out of whack. It returns results, but I can't find
the search terms anywhere near where they indicate they should be, much less
anywhere else on the page. I've even tried the same area of the page on the
previous and subsequent pages, hoping they were one page off, kinda like
Ellis Island. No luck.

If anyone has another resource for this newspaper in the 1855-1880 timeframe
(and probably later, too), can they check for items about the Austin Crow(e)
family? His wife's name is Bridget, children are Patrick, Simon, Michael,
Thomas and Martin, born between 1854-1866. If you send me the list of hits,
I can sort through them and send any relevant results on to Michelle. Thanks
in advance.
