Saving Files

Legg inn av Bob » 07 feb 2005 02:25:54

In Ancestry.com, what is the secret of saving a file, If there is one? I
can save the file, but it is only a .jpeg or .bmp. Is it possible to save
it in an adobe format? They sure do print out small in .jpeg's.
Thanks

Lisa

Bob, I save the file to my desktop, then open it in Adobe Photoshop Elements
(my photo program). After the file is open, I then clean it up and save it
as a PDF to where ever I want to store it on my computer.

thanks Lisa. I clean up in PS7 too, crop out the outside edges and
straighten, but never thought of saving in PDF. Good idea. Thanks.

Most conveniënt for me is to print it to adobe. In your printerlist there
will be someting as "Adobe PDF". Everything you can print you can write with
this driver to PDF-format.

There are also "print to PDF" programs like PDF Creator. They are
installed as a printer, so you can "print" any document you have as a PDF
file. It's been very useful to me for sharing documents in a wide
variety of formats others can't open.
