SSDI Question

Legg inn av DartmanX » 01 feb 2005 20:57:43

I have a death certificate for my Gr-grandfather, who died in 1942. I
has a listing for his Social Security Number.

However, since its so old, it doesn't list his name in the SSDI. Is it
still worth trying to order an SS-5 for him?
Note: the death certificate is from Florida, if it matters.

Jason: If you want the info about his parents' names and place of
work and address--yes. If you already have the info and don't want to
shoot the cash--no. Also yes would give you a copy of his signature
and probably info provided by him, not next of kin.
