Hello all.

I don't know if anyone can find this or not. I've heard that the 1890
census was partially lost. However, I would like the 1890 census
information for Anna Elisabeth Springmann, if it is available, for the Wayne
County/Detroit area. Anna used her middle name Elisabeth for the previous
censuses. People that lives with her, or she might live with, include
Elisabeth Doemer, Robert (Rudolf) Doemer, John Doemer, Josephine Doemer,
Sophia ?, and Joseph Springmann. The Doemer children are from her previous
marriage. I'm not sure where Sophia fits in yet, and Joseph Springmann is a
son from her last marriage to William Springmann, who passed away. Another
possibility would be Theresia Springmann, who was Joseph Springmann's wife.
Thanks in advance for your time and trouble.

I'd call it a near-total loss, myself.

Fewer than 6000 of an estimated 6 million names exist from that census.
And, if memory servers, all 6000 are on-line free somewhere. It's
been a couple years since it was announced and none of my states were
involved, so I didn't bother noting the site. You might want to Google
it and see what comes up.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize the loss was that extensive.
