Haven't been able to get on for a week. Says site is down for maintenance.
I've asked this here before but nobody has responded. Are you getting on or
not? Do you know how I can contact these people?

I've been able to reach genealogy.com and just checked it again today; it
seems to be running normally.

Do you have a paid account? They have a support phone number (not an 800
toll-free one however) at 801-705-7601.

Yes I have an account, and yes it's paid. Thank you for the number although it
really annoys me that I have to pay for this.

Are you using a pop-up blocker? Change the settings to accept popups from that
site, - or it could be as simple as hitting the refresh button. Those are the
easy solutions. If that doesn't work - hmmm... you may have some other problem,
and may need to reinstall the operation system, (big job). If I remember
correctly you had a problem with the service pack for XP.

take care

One of the XP service packs did cause a lot of problems for a number

of people but that's supposed to have been sorted out now.

Other causes could be a firewall setting has somehow changed,
especially after an update, which is something that happened to my
husband; anti virus program could be reading part of the site as a
virus, again after an update.

It could just be a matter of emptying the Temp Internet Folder and
Temp Folder.

Reinstalling an OS "over the top" is easy enough and no data is lost,
however, doing a full scale reformat is another matter.

Or it could simply be that one of the servers is down for maintenance.
