I'm looking for all information about one of my great grandfather's brothers. This man was borned in Norway 1882, and his name was Kristoffer Imsen Åsegg. I don't knpw much abput this man, but in the 1920th Kristoffer had an affaire with a woman in Superior, Wisconsin. Her husband killed him with a gunshot.
This is all I know. I would like to know if he was married and got any childrens. I also would like to know if someone can find any information around the episode when Kriostoffer was killed.
Sincerely
Torill Aasegg, Norway

Do you have a death date?
It would help narrow down the search.

Have you contacted the State Library in Wisconsin? Should be under
their state-goverment webpages. SOME state libraries maintain indexes
to local newspapers.
Or, drop by the http://www.usgenweb.org/WI site and find Superior's county and
ask them if they've any clues.
This is *decidedly* the sort of thing that would have made the local
newspapers, probably complete with a description of the extent of
disarray in which the erring couple was found and on and on and on....
More really, that the bereaved probably appreciated.

Re: A man killed in Superior, Wisconsin, in the 1920th.
I have no source at all for any of the information that you are looking
for, but Superior is across in inlet of Lake Superior from Duluth
Minnesota. It might be worth your while to look in Minnesota records also.
