Lincoln, Nebraska Newspaper Journal

I have in my possession, a complete bound (hard cover/back) journal of daily
newspapers, the "Nebraska State Journal, Lincoln, Nebraska". beginning
Wednesday January 1, 1919 through Friday 28,1919.
I picked it up in a garage sale in Virginia. The Sunday comics are in
color, and the advertisements are really interesting. Also a lot of
interesting stories of happenings in the area. The 96 years have been kind
to it, except its pages are getting a little brittle.
Would something like this be of any value, or just the enjoyment one gets
from leafing through it be it's value?

The various notices that papers carried and still carry about family
doings such as hatch, match, dispatch (birth, marriage, death) along
with the society columns and bits about the travels and travails of
local prominent families would make it invaluable to anyone with any
kind of connection to Nebraska and adjoining states in that time frame.

Nell, I have really enjoyed reading it even though I have no connections in
Nebraska. They go into such detail with the stories. The acid is sure
working on the pages though. They are very brittle and have to be handled
carefully. The ads are unbelievable on autos, clothing, food and such.
They went into such detail. Each day, the paper had approx. 12 pages. so
just those two months makes it about 2½ inches thick. I wish I had the
other 10 months. If anyone has a specific date in the time frame given
about a happening I would be glad to check and see if anything was printed
on the subject. That volume had to be taken out of a library to work its
way to Virginia.
