I have an old photo that I will email to someone who is familiar with ways
of dress in the 19th century. I cannot date the photo, now say what a dress
may indicate.

My mother-in-law has a book called "Mirrors" or something like that which
has fashions from the 1500's through the 1960's, if you e-mail me the
picture, I will try to match it with the book.

I would like to know more about this book. It sounds like a good book to have.

The book is titled: Mirror, Mirror, a Social History of Fashion.
Unfortunately, the book is currently out of print. But you can get a copy
from the following web site, as long as you don't need a pristine copy.
