PHILIP lineage

I need fresh eyes, analysis, and suggestions in connection with my
PHILIP BAILEY line.

I have LOVECEY (spelled several ways) (nee unknown) CASTLEBERRY, b. ca.
1793 in North Carolina per 1850 and 1860 Calhoun County, Fla. censuses.

In the November 30, 1830 Houston County, Ga. probate proceedings for
JOSEPH WOOD, LOVECEY (also spelled LAVISSA in same sentence) is
identified as the widow of JOSEPH WOOD and the current wife of WILLIAM
CASTLEBERRY and has had a child by CASTLEBERRY.

PHILIP BAILEY, my 4th grandfather, is identified as the grandfather of
the WOOD children and is appointed the guardian of their person and
property so WOOD'S property can be sold.

I have assumed PHILIP is the father of LOVECEY, but have no proof other
than this probate proceedings.

No record of PHILIP or LOVECEY that I can identify in NC.

PHILIP first found in the 1818 Twiggs County, Ga. Tax Digest living next
to a WILLIAM BAILEY who the archivist at Ga. Archives says she believes
is related because PHILIP and WILLIAM went together to file a tax
return. Have been unable to connect WILLIAM to PHILIP.

PHILIP is in Houston County, Ga. which adjoins Twiggs by 1822.

Only four BAILEYS on the 1830 Houston County census and they are:

PHILIP b. 1761-1770
THOMAS b. 1771-1780

BRYANT b. 1801-1810 (b. 1806 per 1850 Randolph County, Ga. census)
JOHN. The oldest male is JOHN'S household is 15-19, but JOHN BAILEY is
listed as head of the household. Presume head of household must be 21.
There are females 20-29 and 40-49. Must have enumerator error.

No BAILEYS in the 1840 Houston census.

There is no 1820 Twiggs census because the records were destroyed per
Ga. Secretary of State and Ancestry.com.

There is no 1820 Houston County census because Houston not formed until
1821. PHILIP found only in the 1830 Houston census.

BRYANT and THOMAS (same age + 10) only two of above in 1840 Randolph
County, Ga. census.

Only BRYANT in the 1850 Randolph census and he migrates to Winn Parish,
La. ca. 1857.

A JOHN BAILEY did buy land in Randolph between 1840 and 1850, but there
is a JOHN BAILEY who won a land lottery in Randolph who probably is the
JOHN BAILEY who bought this land.

A WILLIAM BAILEY also bought land in Randolph 1840-1850, but not on
Randolph census. Only record I can find of a WILLIAM in Randolph and if
the same WILLIAM, do not know where he was between 1818 and the time he
bought land in Randolph.

With that background I have the following:

On 1 Oct 1828 BRYAN BAILEY and PHILIP BALEY (have the original document
and they did spell their names differently) witnesses to deed filed in
Houston County involving land bought by JOHN BALEY of Houston County
from Jonathan Brannen of Newton County. Papers were signed in Newton,
Baker County, Ga., which is two counties south of Randolph. If this is
the same JOHN BAILEY and the minimum age to own property is 21, he would
be 22 years of age in the 1830 Houston census. (JOHN BAILEY married
MARTHA POWELL 3 Oct 1828 in Houston County). Suggests that the JOHN who
married MARTHA POWELL is the same JOHN who bought above property.

Because of their ages, proximity, and the fact they all traveled to
Newton County for this sale, I have presumed that JOHN and BRYAN (T) are
the children of PHILIP and suspect (hope) THOMAS is PHILIP'S brother.
WILLIAM may also be PHILIP'S brother.

I have checked every PHILIP, BRYANT, JOHN, WILLIAM and THOMAS from
Virginia to Georgia and found many, but cannot connect them. Many JOHN,
THOMAS, and WILLIAMS.

So--is it a reasonable assumption that PHILIP is the father of LOVECEY,
JOHN, and BRYANT?

What about THOMAS and WILLIAM?

What do I do next?
