1891 Ontario Canada Census

I found my ancestor in the 1881 Ontario Census using the index at
familysearch.org. Does anyone have an idea where I can find an index to
the 1891 Canada Census?

Thanks

Bill

There isn't one. To search for ancestors in the 1891 census
you must do it the old fashioned way, scrolling through
microfilm screen by screen.

You may find a few online (depending what province you are
looking in). For a good list of what's available online,
see

http://allcensusrecords.com/canada/1891census.shtml

There are a fair number of free online 1891 census records
for Ontario - there's a link on the page above that will
take you to them

Census records are available on microfilm from the Archives
of Ontario, National Archives of Canada, on ILL
(InterLibraryLoan) through a local library, or from your
local FHC (Family History Center).
