Lesperance in NM

Legg inn av John Burns » 03 des 2004 19:06:27

The Lesperance family I'm looking for should be in Las Vegas, New Mexico on
the 1880 census but I can't see them. Could someone please check the 1860,
1870, or 1900 census to see if they are there?

Oops I found some of the family on the 1880 census. Pedro Lesperancs-the
last name is spelled slightly differently-I don't know why the LDS site
didn't catch that.
Still looking for Pierre/Pedro Lesperance/Lesperancs born about 1839 on the
1860, 1870, and 1900 census. In 1880 he was at San Geronimo, San Miguel
county.
Also trying to find his uncle with the same name born about 1791 in Canada.
He should be in San Miguel County also.

Thank you very much Mike. Hopefully someone can come up Pedro Lesperance,
born about 1838 on the 1900 census. Next I'm trying to trace the family of
his son, Jose Maria Lesperance, born about 1871. On the 1900 census or later
it may show who he married and what children he had.

Mike I sent my message before I had seen yours. Yes, the Pedro on the 1870
is one I'm looking for. And thanks for the Lesperance census data for 1900.
I'll have to think about things now.

Holy Toledo! I've been looking at the 1900 census for Lesperance in San
Miguel County, NM that Mike sent me. I can't figure it out. I've never seen
it done like this-they are listed alphabetically-you cant' figure out who is
in which family. Is there some trick to figuring out the connections?
