Legg inn av James A. Doemer » 14 nov 2004 20:09:49

I hope someone with military knowledge can answer this. My gr. gr. uncle's
headstone has this:

Ray J. Doemer
MICHIGAN
SGT 312 CO MTC
WWI
June 11, 1891 - February 15, 1965

Does anyone know what the "MTC" means?

Thanks.

Google is your friend: http://www.google.com/ and you need to use it.
Just the simple expedient of looking up your info: SGT 312 CO MTC and
following the leads with a little effort on your own part would lead to
"Maneuver Training Command". Here's a website.

It's probably Motor Transport Corps. Here's a page I found using Google that
has abbreviations for World War I:

http://www.lofthouse.com/USA/Utah/carbon/WWI-1.html
