After the recent election, I got to thinking. And, never one to think
quietly to myself, I wanted to get feedback from everyone here (or at
least those who care to respond). Before I begin, I DO NOT CARE WHO
YOU VOTED FOR, OR YOUR OPINION OF THE PERSON YOU DIDN'T VOTE FOR, NOR
DO I CARE TO TURN THIS INTO A POLITICAL ARGUMENT! Are you saving
information (magazine, newspaper articles, etc) about the recent
election? I found a US map with electoral votes, and filled out a
state by state sheet (both came from C-Span), with the state tallies
for each candidate, the percentage of votes each got, and electoral
votes. I saved a few newspapers from the days after the election, and
I may get a magazine or two. Has anyone else done similar for this or
past elections? Is there something to be gained about saving this
information for the future generations? We seem to think we live in
the most politically devise, most blah blah blah times, but I hear
elections of the 1800's were just as nasty as any we've come up with.
So, I was wondering about saving more from this election, including
personal notes, and etc. Thought...?

What election? We won't get one before next February at the earliest.
I suggest that you find a politics group for whatever county you come from.

Not appropriate for this forum.

Re: Another General Discussion
I haven't saved anything, but in finding my ancestors, I noted many were
named after presidents of their day. Twenty years from now I won't be
here, but it would be interesting to know if any male children are named
for the presidential candidates of this election.
