Legg inn av Gjest » 11 nov 2004 13:47:53

Hi,

I´m looking for any information about my G-Uncle MRAZEK Erich.

He was born on 24.10.1920 in Vienna /Austria

I know that he is missing in action since 27.3.1945 at Ostfi-Asszonyfa
/Hungaria

I want to know why his "Soldbuch" were in 1950 in Munsterlager / Germany and
anything about his military unit.

here some infos:

Eisenbahn Pionier Ersatz Bataillon 2 / 2.Kompanie
Erkennungsmarke: 1103-2./Eisb.Pi.Ers.Btl.2
Truppenstammrolle: 989/40
Kriegsstammrolle: 229741 (this was very hard to read so it can be wrong)

Any information is welcome.

Maybe I am totally off here, but did you consider looking at the German
administration called "WASt"?

Here is their web page:

http://www.com-de.com/wast/

They hold all kind of information about soldiers in the German military
during world war II. To be honest I am not familiar how the
administrative structure of the military was between Germany and
Austria, was it all administrated from Berlin? Or separate from Berlin
and Vienna like during world war I? So maybe this administration does
not have any information, but have a look at the web page.

Hope that helps.

http://www.bundesarchiv.de/aufgaben_org ... ungen/zns/

was bekomme.

Grüsse aus Linz/österreich

Dieter
