Elise Kristine's father, Johan Fredrik Friberg was a smed and traveled considerably all over Norway, having children in various counties. Anyone researching this family? I believe you find the family here in the 1865 census
Johan Friberg is married to Jørgine Friberg (32 years old in 1865) and they are listed with 2 sons and 2 daughters, Elisa (Elise) being one of them.

Hi.
The 1865-cesus tells that Johan Friberg was a blacksmith and farmer. He's 31 years old and born in Sweden. His wife Jørgine is born in Brønnøy, Nordland.
The family must have traveled a lot because all the children are born at different places. Idda in Trondheim, Per Hendrik in Ørland, Sør-Trøndelag, Elisa in Kistrand, Finnmark and Nils Edvard at the Halsen farm, Kvalsund, Finnmark.
The family is also listed in the 1875-census at Halsen, Kvalsund.
There are to children born after 1865. Nils in 1865 and Jakob in 1867. Johan Friberg is listed as born in Bro sogn, Sweeden.

This is probably Elise Kristine emigrating in 1882.

Peder Friberg emigrating in 1881 is probably Elise Kristine's brother, Per Henrik.

In 1924 Peder Henrik Friberg have visited Norway and is returning to the US with his wife Oline.

Hello.
Elise and her family you will find under the farm Bo in Sømna Bygdebok volume 3. Seems like the last we know about her is when she moved to Running Valley, Chippewa Co. ca. 1899. Her parents were there from ca. 1890 and a brother, peder Henrik, had settled there ca. 1888.
Maybe you should try censuses from that area from later times if they are.
Sincerely
Tor Mathisen
