Johan Sallinen

I am trying to do some research on a relative who is from Vadso. His name was Johan Emanuel Sallinen born Oct 25, 1855 in Vadso. I am trying to find out more information on his parents. According to the 1875 Norwegian census his father was Johan Sallinen born 1832 in Karungi, Sweden. Johan Emanuel Sallinen married Hilda Karoline Hoyna on April 4, 1874 in Vadso. According to this record he was born in Vadso but I have checked both the Baptism and Confirmation records but cannot find him in either. Can someone possibly help me find him.

I can`t tell where he was born, but if it was in Vadsø, there might be a problem. Some churchrecords for Vadsø are missing according to information here: http://www.arkivverket.no/arkivverket/T ... k/Finnmark
