Neder Liland in the Borge bygdebok 1666-1701 *

I am seeking information regarding the history of the farm Nedre Liland in the Borge bygdebok. According to the 1666 census Christoffer Olsen and his family lived there:

In the 1701 census it seems his son is living there, Ole Christoffersen, but he is apparently erroneously listed as Ole Christensen:

By 1712, my ancestor, Abraham Hansen was living there, according to the 1712 military tax:

I would very much like to know, when Abraham Hansen took over Nedre Liland (I do know he was living at Querelas, Buksnes, in the 1701 census: http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcen ... k=445#ovre

and that he was born at Helle, Hol). I also would be very interested in knowing, if, possibly, Abraham Hansen married a daughter of Ole Christophersen of Nedre Liland to acquire that farm.

Abraham Hansen was born about 1673. He was the son of Hans Andersen and Ingeborg Abrahamsdatter of Helle, Hol. He is mentioned in his mother's probate, written 12 June 1682:

I do not know his wife's name or family; that's what I am trying to determine. His only child that I know of was Maren Abrahamsdatter, who was born about 1707, probably at Neder Liland. She married Rasmus Gregersen of Ostad, Borge, about 1730. Both she and her husband lived at Neder Liland and died there- Rasmus in 1779 and she in 1763.

It confirms Maren Abrahamsdatter lived at Nedre Liland and was married to Rasmus Gregerss
and died at age 56. Burial at Borge Church.

Its a bit difficult to read but it looks like he was 85 years old when he died.

Rasmus Gregersen died in 1779, as the link shows. Not 1770, as someone erroneously stated. I have known this information for many years. What I am trying to determine in this query is, who his mother-in-law was. That is, who was the wife of Abraham Hansen? Thank you.

I do not doubt your information about Abraham Hansen.

However, I like to mention that according to Borge Bygdebok, Volume 3, page 67, Abraham Hansen is listed as the son of Hans Abrahamsen, Bøstad in Borge.

The book's author writes that Abraham Hansen in the late 1690s had leasehold in Kvervelås in Buksnes. The 18th May 1707 he got leasehold at 4 pounds from the bailiff at the farm Liland Nedre.

Moreover, the book tells that Abraham Hansen met as a juror in the years 1714-1715. The groundbook for 1723 stated that Liland Nedre had 1 tenant (Abraham Hansen) and it still was the King who owned the property. In 1727 Abraham handed half of the farm to his son in law, Rasmus Gregersen, married to Abraham's daughter, Maren. 11 years later, in 1738, Rasmus took over the other half part of the farm .

In Borge Bygdebok, volume 5, page 178, the author writes that Hans Abrahamsen was using the Bøstad with 1 vaag leasehold in 1667. Hans Abrahamsen is not mentioned after 1680 as user of Bøstad.

Thank you for your information. For many years and until recently, I considered Abraham Hansen to be the son of Hans Abrahamsen of Bøstad, as the bygdebok states. However, at geni.com, it states that Abraham Hansen is the son of Hans Andersen and Ingeborg Abrahamsdatter of Helle, Hol. After reading Ingeborg Abrahamsdatter's probate, that lists Abraham Hansen as their son, it seems that this information is more likely accurate. It does seem that Hans Abrahamsen of Bøstad may in fact be a brother to Ingeborg Abrahamsdatter of Helle.
