Rasmus Pedersen of Krogshuus born 1766-1767
Rasmus Pedersen of Krogshuus married Kari Haagensdatter who was born in Os, Hedmark, on 30 August 1793: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1 ... 660597.jpg
in Inderoy. I do not believe Rasmus Pedersen was from Inderoy. He does not seem to match any of the various Rasmus Pedersens who were born there about that time. I also am unable to find a confirmation record for him. When he married he was a dragoon in Motzveldt's regiment. In fact here is a recording of Motzfeldt in the 1801 census: http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcen ... =2189#ovre
What I would like to know is, is there a record anywhere of who served in this regiment and where they may have been from. Any information regarding the origins of Rasmus Pedersen, my great-great-great-great grandfather would be greatly appreciated.

You probably have this already - here are Rasmus and Karen on the 1801 census for Sparboe parish together with their 3 children Peder, Haagen and Christian

I have a copy of several military rolls for Inderøy in the actual period, I have several Rasmus Pedersen, but dont think that I have found the one you are looking for.
One of these rolls is all young boys (1/2 year - 24 years old) registered in Inderøy parish, for the Dragoon Regiment, but there is no Rasmus Pedersen there.
I dont have much information about the military rolls of Sparbu, where Rasmus Pedersen lived in 1801.

I am a descendant of their daughter Randi who was baptized at Schei, Sparbu in 1803:

I also know when and where Kari Haagensdatter died and was buried. What I do not know is where Rasmus Pedersen was from and who his parents were. I also cannot find, after many years of very extensive research, where or when he died.

Perhaps you should put that information also on this forum - I don't know if it will help, but you never know.

Kari was actually baptized at Tolga, Hedmark, which was before Os became a separate annex parish. She was baptized on 2 September 1770:

She died 13 June 1854 at Steenkjar and was buried at Schei, Sparbu, on 25 June 1854:

I hope this helps!

Re: Rasmus Pedersen of Krogshuus born 1766-1767
There is a Rasmus Pedersen who was born in 1766 at Homeldalen to Peder Olsen and Caren (sic) Rasmusdatter: http://gda.arkivverket.no/cgi-win/webce ... =1006#ovre
They also had a daughter Elen born at Hastad in 1764: http://gda.arkivverket.no/cgi-win/webce ... k=575#ovre I cannot find a record of their marriage or a record of any other children. Any information regarding this family, especially their origins, would be greatly appreciated.

Peder Olsen and Karen Rasmusdatter was registered in the census of 1762, where they lived as cotters at the Kvistad farm in Inderøy. Since these censuses did not include children younger than 12 years old, no children were registered. At the Kvistad farm, there were in 1762 a total of 6 cotters places.
This means they were a married couple in 1762, but the wedding is not registered in the church records from Inderøy, and they must have been married another place.
