To karer frå Syltefeten i Fræna, ein far og ein son, reiste til Amerika 9.10 1890 over Kristiansund. Dei reiste frå ei kone og ein son på 4 år. Faren var Knud Ingebrigtsen f. 1841, sonen Ingebrigt Martin Samuel Knudsen f. 1874. Knud åtte to bruk då han reiste, desse kom på tvangsauksjon i 1890-åra. Kona og og den attverande sonen budde som innerstar hjå naboar på Nøsen, truleg i stor fattigdom.

Dei to som reiste til Amerika tok sikte på Minnesota. Eg veit ikkje om dei nokon kom attende til Noreg. Heller ikkje korleis det gjekk i det nye landet

den første av desse er utan tvil riktig. Ser mor sitt namn Serianne Ruseth. Det riktige morsnamn er Serianne Ingebrigtsdt. Røset (evt. Rødseth). nærare er det vanskeleg å komme.

Det øvrige er vel og truleg riktig.

Kva med faren? Han var ca 60 år ved hundreårsskiftet. Han fekk nok ikkje mange tiår i Statene?
