The story in our family is that Cecilie Sorenson Tønnessen was imprisoned by the Germans during the occupation and died in prison camp.

Where can I go to find out is this is true or not?

Cecilie's bio: born in 1868 or 1869, presumably in Farsund
Married Helmik Tønnessen, date unknown
Lived in Nygaden 84 in Farsund & later in Brogaten 11 in Farsund
Mother to seven children; died in 1942 and is buried in Farsund

Cecilie was born as Silia Petra Amalia 19. Sept 1868 nr 121
Parents: Jonas Cornelius Sørensen and Tobine Judithe Amalia Tobiasdatter, Hananger.
Her parents in 1865 census
Marriage in Farsund 1886 nr 1

I have been studying the 1865 census from the last post showing Jonas Sørenson & Tobine Tobiasdatter, Hananger and have made the following assumption:

Tobias Nels.?. is the head of one of two households at this location. He is a 51 year old ?? and freeholder. Living with him is his daughter Gretine Tobiasdatter, age 15.

In the other home is living his daughter, Tobine Tobiasdatter, age 18 and her husband ("hans Svigersøn" = his son-in-law?) Jonas Sørenson. [Can't figure out what "Logerende" translates to.]

Also living in one of these households is Elisabeth Nielsdatter, age 18, a "service girl".

I tried bringing up this record in Digitalarkivet to see if there are more lines (and more people), but had difficulty doing that.

Has my attempt at translation been close to reality?

Your translations are accurate. Logerende you might have guessed = lodging.

Ah -HA! No, I hadn't guessed it meant lodging, nor did I find it in my translation dictionary, but that makes perfect sense. Mange Takk!! And thanks for the additional information.
